Episode 13: Our characters’ stories come to a climax as a solar eclipse spreads across the land; TESS tells MATTHEW she’s pregnant; JULIE goes into labor; TIM wires himself with explosives; MATTHEW saves Julie from Tim; JAMES and TINA go back to the carwash; Matthew gets “called home” by the OLD MONK; WILLIAM comes to terms with mortality.

JULIE experiences strange happenings, but when JAMES tries to explain why, she refuses to believe that she carries the reincarnation of Yu Ku’an Wu; LINDY parts from WILLIAM, heartbroken; SAM sleeps with ANNETTE, to hurt TINA, then realizes it’s time he let her go; MATTHEW and TESS decide not to marry, but perhaps have children; TIM orders home bomb-making equipment.

WILLIAM discovers he has testicular cancer, and doesn’t tell LINDY, who sleeps with ROBERT, the TV exec wooing her to Toronto; JAMES and BAZZA challenge each other; TESS meets MATTHEW’s parents; JULIE defends herself against Tim, with SAM’s help.

TINA suffers flashbacks of her alcoholic mother ANNETTE; MATTHEW comes face to face with his father; WILLIAM and LINDY have a pregnancy scare; JAMES breaks up with girlfriend OLIVE; JULIE has premonitions about TIM.

TIM’s behavior is creepy, and JULIE draws a knife to protect herself; MATTHEW finds life difficult and TESS leaves him; JAMES confronts the death of the old monk; TINA and SAM break up, and LINDY and WILLIAM argue over whose job is more important.

MATTHEW, JAMES and TINA land in a street scene frozen in time, and realize it is a split second before the ambulance crashes; they decide to change history, but it’s not what anyone expected.

Phil’s death forces WILLIAM to face his own fears of mortality; JAMES discovers he has spiritual powers when he delivers a message from MATTHEW to TESS; JULIE freaks when TIM draws a picture of the ambulance crash and puts in on her fridge; SAN finds himself drawn back to TINA.

JAMES is distressed when his martial arts teacher insists he is the reincarnation of a Chinese monk, Yu Ku’an Wu; PHIL, dying of cancer, challenges WILLIAM to reunite with LINDY; KAT dumps SAM; and when Julie and Tina’s mother ANNETTE hits on CORIN, Tina goes out clubbing, where she collapses right under SAM’s nose.

LINDY resurrects her career after a boozy encounter with her paraplegic boss; LINDY’s former boyfriend WILLIAM struggles against his fear of mortality; TINA snorts coke and parties with CORIN; TESS visits MATTHEW’s home; JULIE asks TIM to sleep – no sex – in the same bed.
