Not only does weight lifting increase your metabolism but it also helps build strong bones. I have been weight lifting for over 10 years and I feel and look great. I worry about getting osteoporosis in my old age (as a woman I am more susceptible) so started weight lifting to ward it off. Increasing my metabolism is an added bonus and the other besides that, no Bingo arms!
