In perhaps his most heroic act yet, former NYPD Blue star Jimmy Smits is hosting Edens Lost & Found, a PBS program that will examine the need for green spaces in and around Los Angeles. The special will also delve into the area of environmental justice, thus saving Smits from disappointing millions who still expect him to play good cop. Fortunately, the show may also serve as a pilot for a brand new Smits series; LAPD Green.

Golden Globe nominated international superstar Penelope Cruz was honored for her participation in drawing an expo entitled "Water and Sustainable Development" to Spain in 2008. Entertainment industry analysts predict that Cruz will still be an international superstar at the time of the expo, barring a sequel to Vanilla Sky.

Pop star Pink has teamed up with PETA to call for a boycott of Australian wool products after discovering that the Australia wool industry often resorts to cruel and sometimes disgusting treatment of sheep. The abuses include cutting flesh from the rear end of the sheep, physical beating, and long periods of exposure to Pink's music.

The Governator is reportedly throwing a million dollar bash on Friday, January 5th to celebrate his November reelection. Guests will be transported to the event in zero-emissions hydrogen vehicles and the party will be powered by solar energy and biodiesel generators. Music stars Paul Anka and Donna Summer are scheduled to perform. The catch? Among the list of corporations who donated at least $50,000 to the event is oil giant Chevron. It remains unclear whether that fact will be advertised at the party, or if Arnold will leave it in the garage with his several gas guzzling hummers.
