The Green Room: Prince Charles Builds New Eco-Palace
Posted by Joshua W. Jackson on December 22, 2006 - 6:51am.

Prince Charles, slowly but surely becoming known as "the green prince," is reportedly overseeing the plans to the development of an eco-palace in Herefordshire. The energy efficient mansion is intended to be a wedding gift for his son, Prince William. At this point William and girlfriend Kate Middleton remain unmarried, although the expensive home seems to put them under several millions of pounds of pressure.

The first American street legal Mosler supercar has been delivered to none other than science fiction legend George Lucas. While other celebrities, such as George Clooney, have managed to purchase muscle cars that are good for the planet, or others still, such as Jay Leno, have developed their own eco-smart speed demons, Lucas's new ride averages eighteen miles per gallon, significantly less than even an intergalactic high speed x-wing fighter.

This week Laurie David announced an exciting new member of her virtual march to stop global warming. Music star Sheryl Crow has joined in the fight. Crow notes, "We live on a beautiful planet, but the state of its health will be the deciding factor in our own health and longevity." Analysts predict that Ms. Crow will not stop marching even after the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard.

Christina Ricci has responded to being named on PETA's worst dressed list and throngs of negative media attention in the only acceptable way; the famous actress has apologized to PETA and her fans and vowed never to wear fur again. While celebrity columnists everywhere were thrilled to learn of the change for the better, many secretly admitted being disappointed at the prospect of having one less person to crack wise about.

In the Balance realm, an international publication reports that Richard Gere, noted Buddhist and friend of the Dalai Lama, has an easier time keeping his ego in check than the average Hollywood legend, largely due to his active spiritual life. According to rumor, when Paris Hilton was told of the article, she vowed to worship herself ten times more piously than ever before.
