Before the election on Tuesday, Brad Pitt stumped for environmental legislation in California alongside Julia Roberts and Alyssa Milano. Pitt showed up in a new blue Prius he also drove to the premiere of Babel. "It wouldn't have looked too good if he had turned up in a huge limo..." one onlooker observed. It remains unclear whether that onlooker was there for the political event or the meeting of the No Duh Club that was taking place immediately following.

Al Gore, Laurie David, and friends are reportedly sending out copies of the smash hit global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth in an eco-friendly mailing container that can be grown into basil. Unfortunately, some find the enviro-envelope to be off-putting. Supporters of the film say it's a good thing they didn't make the mailers out of other creative, organic, and biodegradable matter such as recycled Kleenex, deceased composting worms, or Al Gore's beard clippings

Daniel Baldwin, known as "the drugged up, angry one," was arrested in Santa Monica after tooling around in a stolen SUV. Environmentalists are annoyed that Baldwin didn't steal a more efficient car, but many pop culture experts say that the image of Daniel Baldwin in a gas-guzzler may finally make SUVs uncool.

The Environmental Media Awards were held in Los Angeles this week, and the star-studded event was attended by Wilmer Valderrama, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, members of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Nicole Richie. Given Richie's seemingly non-existent environmental record, it seems clear that she was happy just to be allowed in to an awards show of any type.

Pamela Anderson, noted PETA activist, has signed on for a new movie in which her character has a pampered pet turtle, but has demanded that no real turtles be used in the filming of the picture. "It's an animal friendly set. That battle was won," Anderson said. Her declaration was met with thousands of disappointed sighs from the male turtle community.
