1 tsp baking powder
2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Matt, being the lucky recipient of a client's Harry and David gift basket overflow, brought home the most incredible pears I've ever tasted the other day. They were huge and had a perfect texture and flavor, a kind of Comice on steroids.
These extraordinary pears are sold under the name Royal Riviera, but they taste like a Comice because they are a Comice. It's just that the climate and soil conditions of Oregon's Rogue River Valley, where the Royal Riviera is grown, produce a Comice so outstanding it had to be trademarked.
