Natural Remedies for COUGHS and CONGESTION

Cinnamon's warming properties makes it a good decongestant, digestive aid, and breath freshener. For congestion, steep two teaspoons of ground cinnamon in eight ounces of hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and sip. Drink small amounts throughout the day until your congestion has cleared.

Eucalyptus is a natural decongestant. Inhaling eucalyptus helps open the sinuses and allows mucus to loosen and be expelled. Buy organic eucalyptus oil at your local health food store and then dab a few drops in a handkerchief and inhale it directly. Or you can add a small amount to a pot of boiling water and inhale the steam.
