I had my first taste of the Brazilian martial art of capoeira a few years back, in a freeform, multidisciplinary class called "Beginning Movement." I signed up for such a quirky class after realizing through my yoga practice that, yes, I actually do inhabit my body, and I would like to be as creative with it as possible.
