is it the governments right?

I have nursed two babies and support the breastfeeding movement, yet having said that, I may have a problem with stopping the promotion of formula because it undermines breastfeeding.  It is clearly a mothers choice whether to nurse her baby and many women face many hours of deliberation for one reason or another.

I don't know if I believe that a goverment should be making those decisions for us?  I would welcome some other opinions.
