Forecasting Climate Change, Explained in Plain English!

New from England, a great little primer on climate change and how scientists predict what's in store: The Basics of Climate Prediction explains it all for you, from what climate is to why it's changing to what scientists can and can't foretell. This little slideshow is very simple, but it's a great introduction to the topic.

It was produced by a group at Oxford University along with ClimatePrediction.net, a climate forecasting experiment that uses networked computers around the world, similar to the popular SETI@home project, which searches for extraterrestrial life. By using available space on thousands of computers around the world, the model can be more precise than it would be using a supercomputer.
