Ethanol to Push Food Costs Higher

With ethanol production expected to grow from 5.9 billions in 2006 to 9.3 billion gallons this year, experts say that the demand for corn used to produce the biofuel will have a lasting impact on food prices and potentially painful aftershocks in the wider economy.

not going to be easy

No one said it was going to be easy.  We need to keep flushing out the problems and addressing them.  Tough choices are going to have to be made.  Hopefully, we can keep coming up with some better aternatives that won't affect food.
