Russia, U.S. Spar Over Alleged Moon Superfuel
May 1, 2007 - 6:47pm
from the Telegraph
NASA has rejected a Russian proposal for joint lunar exploration, and Moscow suspects that the U.S. wants to deny it access to an isotope abundant under the moon's surface that could replace fossil fuels and even end the threat of global warming.

Moon Rocks?

I feel pretty out of the loop! Is this Helium-3 stuff for real or just a way to sell more newspapers?

Does anyone know anything about the byproducts of this fuel source? Is it just like nuculear power where we call it clean because the polution doesn't go in the air, it just stays in the ground for 35,000 years?

I have never understood how we could honestly produce something that could still kill people 100 years later, let alone a 1000 years!
