Rice Seen as Climate-Change Culprit

A new report concludes that methane emissions from Asia's flooded rice paddies contribute to global warming just as much as the carbon dioxide produced by coal-fired power plants, automobile exhausts, and other sources.

It's a hard decision, what to do. Feeding your family and the population is foremost the number one goal. Rice is a huge part of their diet and one that many are living on. The government should consider some sort of funded intiative to help defray the costs.
