Hewlett-Packard said Tuesday it'll pay an undisclosed sum for 80
gigawatts of renewable energy from Airtricity, a company developing and
operating wind farms in Europe and North America. The agreement will save H-P about $40,000 and 40,000 tons of carbon dioxide
emission over the year-long contract as it moves to make 90% of its energy
consumption in Ireland renewable.
