The new oxford dictionary declared "carbon neutral" its "word of the year for 2006" for inclusion in its 2007 edition.  Is this movement a scam or is carbon offsetting better than doing nothing?  Does carbon offsetting give people the mistaken impression that they can keep on polluting or that such individual efforts can solve global warmig when much more is needed?
