Gmark's take: Living the Change!
I had trouble making up my mind for lunch today... bacon and eggs? Or a nice healthy salad? So I decided to have both, in the form of a Cobb Salad! I didn't have the kinder, leaner version [0] recommended by LIME, but mine didn't seem too unhealthy anyway. The dressing was only a light coating, and the "good" ingredients seemed to outweigh the bad.
Reading the aforementioned recipe, I learn that the Cobb Salad was invented by the owner of LA's popular Brown Derby [1] restaurant in 1937. I had always assumed that it was named after legendary baseball player and racist, Ty Cobb. Too bad, that would have justified having a Baby Ruth [2] for dessert.
Is that a beer next to my salad?
