I think you should add fruit and juices to the veggie line. Vitamin C pills don't really help (or. so I been told, that it just leaves your body when it's had it's share for the day.
Exercise, healthy habits, good food, veggies & juices & plenty of water. A doctor told me one time that NOTHING can take the place of water,and last, but not least..........PRAYING to the God that created us!
I have to tell you 1 MOM story...I took care of my mother for 8 1/2 years before she died. She was the funniest/sharpest/quickest wit I've ever known....I was hugging her one time, and made the remark that, "Mom, you are so short, I would have to bend over to bite your nose".....immediately she said "Yes, and YOU would have to get up to bite it AGAIN." If anyone out there has children, I can tell you this. . . they are the carriers of colds, flu. . . you name it! We can all be healthy until the school year comes upon us and all the sick kids are sent to school by their parents. I have taught all 3 of my daughters to stay as far away from the hackers as possible and to use the sanitary wipes and kleenex I provide them. It's amazing to me, these days, how many parents have not taught their children proper 'cold etiquette', especially in the higher grades. I have a set of 19 year old twins and they have commented on how poorly kids were in school when they were younger. My 11 year old is well aware of the 'flying germs' and talks about how the other kids will cough and 'spew' all of their germs without a second thought.
Since I have Grave's Disease which causes the immune system to be highly susceptible to contagions; coupled with the fact that I have year-round allergies, I have to be very careful to be mindful when I am around anyone who is sick. Needless to say, I take pretty good care of my health and of those of my family members. Yet, it can't be helped when others choose to 'share' their bacteria with the rest of the world!

I get a cold every fall and it lasts until winter! Any one agree with me that having a cold totally stinks??? Well to avoid getting a cold I Get my beauty sleep, stay active, eat healthy, and chow down on vitamin C. Stay Warm!
