The Closest Objects Have the Biggest Impact

Relative positioning is as important as absolute direction. What does that mean? The theory of relative positioning states that what you see every day has a profound impact on you. So while it is important to honor the energies we receive from far away (for example: other planets, the magnetic forces of the poles, the energy that comes from the sun and the moon) it is equally important:

1. That you fix that nail that is sticking up in your living room that you trip over every day. (Fix the little things and you will have more energy for everything else.)

2. To know how you feel about the pictures on your walls (example: inspired and successful or sad and defeated).

3. How things are positioned.

Positioning Checklist:

Take a look at your bed or your desk. Is it in commanding position? Can you see the door from where you sit? Are you in the path of the door?

Within your home or office, it is best if you are as far away from the mouth of chi (the door) as possible, but that you can see if from where you sleep, or where you are working. (This is true of your stove, too.) Can you see people coming into the room or do they seem to sneak up behind you?

If you can't see the entrance to the room (and you can't move your furniture for some reason) you can "cure it" by placing a mirror up in a way that allows you to see the entrance of the room through the mirror.

Don't panic. Don't worry. There is always something you can do.
