Okay, so my husband and I are moving into an apartment. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but we've been living in a duplex that gave us "creative control" so to speak. I was able to paint the walls with low-VOC paint, choose greener carpet, etc etc etc.

 But now we're moving into an apartment where those choices are already made for us & they're most likely not the greenest. While it's a wonderful & gorgeous apartment, I'm still left to think....

How can I make it as green as possible (without violating our lease)? The walls are already painted, the carpet's already laid (and it's already fumigated... good and bad...). Should I focus instead on the positives that I can control, like what I bring into our new place? Open the windows and let in fresh air as much as possible? What do YOU do?
