"Natural" Chicken

I just became involved in an effort called the Truthful Labeling Coalition. (TLC).
It seems several of the largest chicken producers in the US inject or pump in to their fresh chicken added sodium, water, carageenan (a seaweed extract), and other additives - and then label them as "All Natural." They are allowed to do this because of a loophole in the USDA's "natual" labeling guidelines. This pumped-up chicken contains more than 800% more sodium than real natural chicken.
The TLC is urging the USDA to reform their labeling guidelines for fresh chicken so only truly natural chicken can be labeled as such.
If you enjoy natural chicken and would like to join the effort, visit: www.TruthfulLabeling.org [1]
