In this Good Company podcast, Michael Conner talks to Reginald “Flip” Hagood, the Student Conservation Association's (The SCA) Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives about the S.C.A.’s unique MBA internship program with the US National Parks. The SCA Business Plan Initiative brings together student interns from the nation's top business schools and the US National Parks for an intense summer internship program focusing on environmental business management. The students intern in parks and conservancies around the country and develop business strategies that can help each park become more financially and environmentally sustainable. Ultimately the strategies will show park managers how they can independently enhance their funding and become less dependent of government funds to operate National Parks. Michael is also joined by Nick Waugh a former intern from the SCA/BPI internship program and Lena McDowall the manager of the National Parks Service BPI Program.
