Rolling Out a Bamboo Bicycle

Craig Calfee, bicycle maker to the stars, has developed a bamboo bicycle that requires no power tools to build and travels long distances comfortably. More than a gimmick, Calfee is now trying to produce the bike for developing countries.

Heard about bats but bicycles?

I did hear a piece on NPR about the bamboo baseball bats so I'm not too surprised about bicycles made out of bamboo. Sounds like it works and the people who own them really like them, I'll have to look for a picture of one on the Internet.

Anxious to hear how the trip to Ghana went. Hopefully Lime will keep us posted.

Is it more convenient though, I mean for personal use? It just doesn't seem like something that can be safe.
