In the hopes of curtailing aviation's contribution to global warming [0], EasyJet, Europe's second-biggest low-cost carrier, is asking Boeing and Airbus to build an "EcoJet'' as part of the airline's plan to improve fuel efficiency by 50 percent starting in 2015.
