Natural Remedies for RASHES

Aloe. The hydrating juice of the aloe vera plant has been used for thousands of years to treat skin conditions. You can buy packaged aloe vera gel at most drugstores, and any grocery stores sell large aloe leaves. To use, cut off a small piece and squeeze out the gel, rubbing over affected area.

Vitamin E is integral in helping support healthy skin and in helping the body heal any kind of tissue, including the skin and lips. Add Vitamin E to your diet with sunflower, safflower and canola oils, sun-dried tomatoes, almonds and hazelnuts. You can also take vitamin E oil supplements, or prick the supplement capsules with a straight pin to squeeze out the oil and rub it directly on your skin to prevent scars or to alleviate chapped areas.

Tea Tree Oil has antiseptic, antibiotic and antifungal properties. It is well-suited for wounds, insect bites, rashes and for cleansing purposes. However, Tea Tree is a potent essential oil, so you want to dilute it before applying it to the skin area.

Teas have been used for centuries to treat a variety of ailments, from fevers, coughs and nausea to congestion and constipation. Chamomile tea is gentle enough for children, and has mild sedative, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It also promotes relaxation, relieves indigestion and, when applied topically, soothes skin irritations. Apply soaked tea bags directly to the skin's affected area.
