Organic Liquors, Beers, and Wines

I was just pondering this the other day, as I was reading through Vicki's popular post on Wine [0]

How familiar is everyone with organic [0] and local versions of their favorite drinks?

Working for LIME I get lots of fantastic opportunities to attend Green Events like Green Drinks [1] (to name one of many, and a great option to find like minded people in your local area.)

I am always amazed to find all these new (to me at least) local and organic versions of Beers, Wines, and Liquors being served that I have never heard of before, but am always eager :-D to taste.

I often find them to be much superior products to their mass produced brethren and try to jot down all the names that I can (the only way I'll remember them after a good night of Green Festivities...hehe) For some reason about 70% of the time what I taste I find that I like, and like more than it's non-organic counterpart. I've been lucky to find some real gems out there like some of the beers over at Butte Creek [1].

I truly find it amazing how sustainable these products are, the level of care and attention that is used all the way through the manufacturing process, talk about really reducing the distance from farm to mug!

Does anyone else have the same feelings or experiences? And do we have any home brewers [2] in the house? are there other members out there familiar with some local and organic varieties they love and would like to share?

For those of you that enjoy a good drink now and then you may also enjoy Hans' Blog [2] or maybe you would like to share some of your own favorite Green watering holes over in LIME Local [3].... (P.S. don't forget to add your reviews :-)
