Bluff Lake Nature Center and Denver Botanic Gardens have joined forces to help restore the native vegetation at Bluff Lake. This effort will require a series of restoration projects. Volunteers are needed to help in the following areas: noxious weed control, cataloguing weeds and mapping of project areas, soil sampling and finally, planting of native grasses, wildflowers and shrubs. Weeds will be removed early in the spring and throughout the summer. Native grass seeds will be planted early in the spring and late in the fall. Other native species will be planted throughout the spring and summer. Garden maintenance is needed on a regular, on-going basis.
