Become part of the Stream Team. River Watch is a joint program the Colorado Watershed Network opperates with the Colorado Division of Wildlife. We work with schools, watershed groups, and dedicated citizens to gather water quality data throughout the state.
We are the largest statewide water quality volunteer monitoring program in the country, collecting more data than Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming have combined. We are the only statewide volunteer monitoring group in the country whose data is used for regulatory purposes. The data our volunteers collect and we analyze is used regularly by Colorado's Water Quality Control Division to determine whether a stream is impaired or healthy.
Although we continue to generate data, we still have many places that need sampling, and we need your help. This involves a Stream Team or indvidual volunteer sampling and collecting field data monthly for a minumum of a year.
