Why are Americans getting fatter? Best-selling author and nutrition expert Andrew Weil, M. D., explores the European approach to eating – small quantities of rich foods – and explains why highly processed foods are a big factor in the American obesity epidemic. In this discussion of his essential guide to food, diet, and nutrition, he offers shoppers a simple trick for reading labels.

This video was posted under a love your body description a few weeks ago, and its content doesn’t really match the description (no label reading advice, for example). Please verify that this is the clip you meant to post. And thanks for your useful work!

Matthew, I think you already posted this video a few weeks ago under a Weil encourages us to love our bodies heading. The clip doesn’t quite match your description: no specifics about Europeans eating sparing servings of rich food, no label-reading advice. Please verify that this is the clip you meant to post. And thanks for your work on this useful section!

I agree that he just uses common sense, and I appreciate that he speaks on the subject in a straight-forward manner. I've spent a lot of time re-educating my clients about fad diets, and I find Dr. Weil's approach very refreshing.
