Hispanic Women Have Higher Heart Risk

According to a new study, Hispanic women develop cardiac risk factors as much as 10 years earlier than white women. The findings counter the so-called “Hispanic Paradox” that Hispanics experience less heart disease than Caucasians.

I can't help but think that this may have to do with a the diet and lack of exercise that hispanic women get.  As the article said, many are immigrants and I am sure they are not taking spinning classes at the gym 3-4 times a week.  I think socio-economic status has a lot to do with what health risks we are predisposed to haveing.  Eating correctly and exercising isn't always attainable for everyone when you are struggling to put food on the table and keep your family together.
