This article is so misleading. Coffee consumption has been shown to cause serious health problems. It creates a highly acidic environment in the body, contributing to gout, heart disease, kidney malfunction, liver swelling, etc. This study must have been secretly funded by Folgers Coffee or someone similar. Or, maybe if your liver is totally swollen and dysfunctional from 4 cups of coffee per day, it cannot filter/transmute all the alcohol you are drinking. This could possibly prevent cirrhosis in the liver, but your body will then be dumping the unprocessed alcohol directly into the rest of your body. This certainly cannot be good news to the pancreas, kidneys, lymph system, etc. No intelligent healthcare professional will believe this "study." Kayla Moonwatcher, ND, CHom.
