Ty Pennington Gives Eco-Home Tips

Making your home more environmentally friendly isn't just limited to the summer months. With autumn beginning just days from now, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" host Ty Pennington appeared on "Good Morning America" today to demonstrate how to make homes more green this season.

Had back to school night last night for my 4th grader.  They had to write a poem and in it he mentioned what bothers him is the harm to the planet we are doing.  I was so happy to hear that what I do is making an impression.  Yeah for me!!!!

I agree that planting trees in your yard, using less water for your lawn, and doing the little things can really help make a difference.  I unplug all my appliances when not in use, even my blow dryer.  It's about making the unconcious concious.
