Based on the worldwide best-selling novel and philosophy by James Redfield, The Celestine Prophecy is now the movie adventure of a lifetime. John Woodson, an out-of-work teacher, is about to experience a dramatic and profound metamorphosis. Through a mysterious set of coincidences, he finds himself embarking on an adventure to the rainforests of Peru in search of nine ancient scrolls, known as the Celestine Prophecy. The prophecy and its nine key insights predict a worldwide awakening that redefines human life and provides a glimpse into a deeper level of spirituality emerging on earth. When corrupt church officials discover that a ninth scroll exists, they vow to move heaven and earth to stop the prophecy from being revealed. John’s journey to discovery takes an adventurous turn filled with mysterious events and chance meetings — none of which prove to be mere coincidence. Each person who crosses his path gives him a clue to solving the timeless mystery of the ninth scroll, but can he discover its meaning in time?

The book was pretty deep, I don't know how it would translate in the movie. If anyone has seen it please let us know more about it.

yes i saw that movie  just recently here.   while the story  was good,  the film was .. well a bit silly.  the message was there.  they way they portrayed the whole thing  seemed to undermine  what they tried to show us .  im not sure who directed it but the special effects they used left me feeling  like it was a bad low budget film from yesterday.  the book was much better in  that it made you think and left you to your imagination.  ( which is much more creative than this film)

I thought it was great. I thought the way they show how the aura or energy bodies effect eachother and how everything has this radient loving light to it's being. It's what I've felt was true and from experencing seeing auras and lights recently, I ate it up:) However if I wasn't into spirituality like I was 5 years ago, I wouldn't have got the film at all.
I think that movies should be seen for what they are though. Not picked apart on how they compare with their books. For example, to really get everything in the last Harry Potter book into the upcoming film night take 12 hours instead of 2. There's only so much you can get in a film under 2 hours. Conversations with God got a poor LA review because Neale's beard looked fake (even though it was real). Not one media review I read mentioned how important the subject of our nation's homeless that was shown throughout the film. It's the story of hope and love behind these films that make them special and wonderful to even be made.
It's good to see that movies like this, Conversations With God, What The Bleep and The Secret are even being made and accepted at all. At least there are spiritual films being put into the somewhat "mainstream" for those who are hungry for something other than horror films:)
