Global Warming 101
Posted by GreenClean on March 7, 2007 - 8:27pm.

Here is Will Stegar's website with information on his environmental research and work. There are even lesson plans designed for grades K-12 that some schools are taking part in now. It is a very impressive program.

Read the truth about peak oil and the new role of ethanol in our society. Don't believe the oil companies who pay dis information agencies to spread rumours that ethanol takes more energy to grow than it yields. This is simply untrue. Even if you factor in the sun's energy which is free (this is what Dr. Pimentle did right after he accepted money from Exxon Mobile in 1996) you will still come out ahead.  Esso, Shell, Aramco, Texaco and Chevron are the biggest polluters in the world and MUST be held accountable for the damage they have done to planet Earth - you can finish them by purchasing ethanol the next time you fill up your car.

I didn't realize you could purchase ethanol for your car. Where would one go about doing that?  I agree big business has not been a friend of the planet, however many corporations are trying to make a change and become more eco-friendly and are putting their money out there.  I do think that we all need to work together.  Let's give the big companies a chance.  Many other people do believe ethanol is the wave of the future so try and not be too worried.

better choices
by Vicki_R on March 11, 2007 - 6:09pm
I don't know if you are talking to me, but if you are, thanks, if not, sorry. I am trying to learn as I go along and make better choices. Being green is becoming more important to me as I see my children growing up.  I want them to be healthy and have a place to live out their lives.
