Medicine bottles

was wondering how can we recycle medicine bottles (those brown plastic containers) my parmacy (RiteAid) will not take it.

how shameful!

if anyone would know please let me know

i'd like to know also.  i asked today @ my pharmacy, and they had no idea.  so i want to pass it on, get something going. thanks. starting a search.

if you check on the bottom of the bottle, you will see a #5 inside the recycle symbol.  this is what i found:   Polypropylene, commonly found in self-sealing containers, like Tupperware, is accepted by very few curbside recycling programs due to its very low rate of recyclability. Check the Earth 911 website to see if your municipal recycling center accepts number 5's. then this:   These days you can turn medicine bottles into life jackets and old running shoes into new playground surfacing.
