Eco-Friendly Jewelry that is beautiful and unique

Dear Lime, I just moved to the eastern shore of Virginia from NYC. A big change to say the least. I moved here to get a break from the fast pace, overwhelming at times, and gluttonous world of NYC (don't get me wrong still very much love the big apple for so many things!) - just needed a change of pace for a year or so.  I am a comedian, writer, teacher and as of just a little while ago avid blogger!  I am designing an entertainment, good finds, fun things to do, etc sort of centeralized blog for the eastern shore of Virginia.  Therefore, I'm scouting out things to do, places to explore, people to talk to, cool stuff, gifts to buy, etc to write on and recommend that could be on the blog.  I am at the same time attempting to live more green, be more globally and eco friendly conscience.  I made a discovery and I wanted to share it with LIME. I discovered a little while ago some very stylish and unique jewelry made by Moonrise Jewelry.  Their stuff is remarkable and their studio is located right here on the shore in a town called Eastville.  I went in to check them out after looking at their website - http://www.moonrisejewelry.com/ - and found some really cool stuff.  They design and make all of their jewelry on site in the studio in Eastville.  The pieces are unique and they have an entire line they call, "premier eco-jewelry" - on their website it states the following and after going to the studio I found it to be true!  unusual is that not? We are committed to sourcing our raw materials from Fair Trade and ethical vendors who pay fair wages and protect workers' rights. This collection features designs made entirely of ethically-sourced materials and Fair Trade Semi-precious Gemstones. These natural, untreated gems are closely tracked from the mine to our studio to ensure that each has been handled according to strict environmental and social protocols. You'll also find recycled, reclaimed, and renewable natural materials in our Premier Eco-Jewelry Collection. You can find a lot of pretty and affordable items as well as read more about them at http://www.moonrisejewelry.com/  I also recommend stopping by their studio if you happen to be in the neighborhood!   thanks for reading, rosemary16
