Are you an activist- how??
Posted by sophieuliano on September 17, 2007 - 11:40pm.
I know many of you bloggers are passionate greenies. Aside from taking steps to green your everyday life, what areas of environmental concern are you passionate about? Would you consider yourself to be an activist and if so, what do you do to make a difference?

Subtle activist-ism
by NeoHippieMama on September 21, 2007 - 12:45am
I suppose I'm not one to rally the troops or protest outside of a company.  My way of activism is subtle.  I have been sharing all I know with my friends and family.  My mother now buys organic from the farmers market, and she recycles.  Her neighbor stopped buying milk that's processed from cows treated with rbst.  My sister and brother have joined yoga.  My husband gets made fun of by his cow workers for having the healthiest eating habits at work.  And I am a reformed 'greenie'  all because I watched a friend change her lifestyle.  If we live it we will influence everyone around us without having to say much.  Actions speak loudly.

keepin it simple

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Ghandi

it's this simple for me; no need for public displays ... if i can't live an energy efficient, vegetarian, meditative, non-judgmental and simple life 24/7 and not just on Sunday mornings and holy days, then no one would believe a word i say about it ...
