The 11th Hour *NEW MOVIE*
Posted by Monmac1 on July 25, 2007 - 5:33pm.

The 11th hour is a documentary film about how Global Warming is and will eventually demise our world. Please take a look at the trailer and spread the word about this movie. WE need to take action and the only way that it will happen is if WE ALL stick together!

Looks really interesting.  Is this going to be a motion picture out in the theatres or is it going to be put out privately?  I like the site in that you can find out how to help.  Let me know.

It says it will be in theatres August, 17 of this year, but I am pretty sure it will only go to select cites first. Then at the end of the preview it says: TEXT:  11th and your zip code to get updates on your area.So I just figure check online when you hear reviews and see when it is your area if you don’t want to text.

Some of us @ LIME

Were lucky enough to be invited to a private screening of this documentary last night courtesy of our friends over @ the SCA.

To be honest, the Inconvenient Truth was a better film, I can best describe this documentary as, heavy. The first hour of the film talked about how we have arrived at the alarming crisis we call global warming / climate change. It went into far too much detail, for the regular person walking down the street or watching this doc to enjoy or get into.

It was only about after 65 mins into the movie, that the documentary started to discuss what needs to be done in the future, and here... where you would have loved to hear lots of details, you ended up getting only a few, and in essence, what you got was a nice story, rather than something to act on.

I would recommend it to anyone who is absolutely passionate about the movement, but would not recommend it to anyone that saw the Inconvenient Truth and got their fix of learning and knowledge in regards to Global Warming.

The movie was a little bit of a let down for me, I've been eager to see it for quite some time. Would I watch it again, probably, would I tell my friends to watch it? yes (but half of them probably won't like it, and I am pretty sure I know a couple that would walk out.)

wow!!

Oh, you are so Lucky to have seen the movie! I know I want to get tickets to this movie when in comes into my town, but I think it might not come for a while. I don’t know if the community here would support it too much. (All farmers and factory workers!) But it is OK maybe I just see what happens… Now what do you mean it was a “heavy” movie? Did it impact you that much? Did to majority of the people there like it?

(Sorry I ask a lot of questions, I just want to KNOW! LOL)

re: heavy

the movie was heavy in the sense that it went into great detail about how we have impacted the natural balance on this planet, unfortunately I fealt they spent too much time on that aspect of the movie....personally I know about global warming, I know we are a contributing factor to the cause....but I also know there are solutions....and I feel they did not talk enough about the solutions.

Did the movie have an impact on me? Yes, it reaffirmed what I already believed....and I guess that's why I was let down...becuase that's about all it did...reaffirm.

I think most of the people there did like it, although it was a small private screening with about only 30 people in the audience.

sounds interesting

I looked at the trailer to the movie and it seemed like it would be a very impacting movie like Chris reefers to. That is disappointing to hear that it didn’t focus enough on the solution. Chris is right, we all know what is going on, we need to focus more on the solution. Since this a documentary film they might just be doing this a first try and first look, maybe they will come out with a second one, putting the focus on the solution. Hopefully they will, it will be an interesting, to see what exactly we could do with all our technology and knowledge that we have obtained throughout the years. I am exited to see this film, and possibly a sequel?

sorry to hear

I guess that they may have to assume that not everyone saw An Inconvenient Truth and are trying to educate people who have no clue.  I wonder whether there is another form of movie making other than a documentary that would make the isssue a bit more interesting and get people motivated?  Sorry to hear it didn't live up to the expectations we all had.
