spirituality

I have resolved to become more spiritual. I am not talking religion either. I find religion too rigid, and there are too many hipocrites. I have actually began learning about my chakras and some buddhist teachings. Just opening myself up to these teachings has been profoundly powerful. Most people think buddhism is a religion but it isn't . There are people out there that claim it as their religion but the buddha just meant for his teacings to be spread throughout the world to better the human race. He is not a god nor should he be regarded as such. He was a great teacher and should be respected as such. My attitude towards others and myself have really changed and hopefully I can stick with it.

Peaceful

What you are doing sounds great!  We could all use a little help in making our lives more peaceful and treating each other better.  My neigbor seems to like the practice of "reiki" which she swears helps to heal the spiritual self as well as the common cold all naturally. Check out the following site.  It's really interesting.   http://www.reiki.org/FAQ/WhatIsReiki.htm.  Another form of meditation I have tried is Tai Chi.  It didn't do it for me, but my dad really found it peaceful.

Check out today's article on Brain Activity and Spirituality on the homepage.  I found it very interesting and inspiring as well.  Mind over matter, it can work!

preemptions
by iamstan on April 10, 2007 - 9:53am

Are the sports preemptions on Sirius Radio Channel 114 legitimate?

My FAVORITE show on Lime Radio is "Conversation With Neale." Several Sundays have passed with the show being preempted by NASCAR. I called Sirius and inquired and was told it was simply a matter of overrun because of a huge audience for the NASCAR race but this does not make technical sense to me.

Last night, I tried to listen in on Lime and found the channel had been taken over by an NBA game.

Please set my mind to ease on this matter. If this is a legitimate arrangement Lime has with Sirius for the purpose of lowering the fees to pay the radio service, I will be able to understand. Maybe we can organize a subscription drive to raise the funds that will cause Sirius to either create a new channel for it's sports or find another channel to preempt as some of Sirius' programs are purely in-house with not other affiliation, i.e., Classic Radio.

Thank you for your reply. My email is iamstan2000@yahoo.com

Hi Iamstan

Sirius is legitimately pre-empting our programs for sports events. Thank you for your concern and writing to us, here @ LIME.

I am sorry you have not been able to hear "Conversations with Neale" recently. We do offer podcasts of many segments of our radio shows, and you can find Neale's podcast here, it is updated once a week.

Thanks for listening!
