Such small things makes such a better future for all

Indeed, sometimes from watching the news to reading the main newspapers, you do wonder...Are we going to make it as a species or what?

Well, the answers is...more likely than not...yes! Why?

Let's see shall we?:

Want to see how many people do good deeds too? everywhere? Check this out:

t_html...

then, this:

http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/

Cool, huh? Now...how about people that want to live better from being more green to eat more natural/ Well, sure there is lime.com, then urth.tv, bebold.org, idealbite.com, familynetwork.org...these and more are growing at a (positive) alarm rate: people want a cleaner planet and more peace...

All right, that is nice but what can we do everyday to really make a difference (you are going to love this)? SIMPLE! Follow this:

a)   Put the most fluorescent bulbs in you house that you can (instead of incandescent ones), turn off the lights whenever you can, and keep the stand by electronics you have at night to a minimum! Just that...saves you mucho dinero and helps you too (my average bill, for 4 (including the laundry, washing up, lights etc...) is...up to $44 for all of us!

b)   Cars...mmmmmm...well, how many people do I see with huge trucks that:

They cannot always park

Use a LOT of gas

Is insurance pricey...

Get a small car and use public transports  whenever you can, as well as cycling and walking.

Sure if trucks are for your work or your pro hobby...all right but then offset it by belonging to an environmental association...it is an average of $50 a year! What people spend in an evening for partying on!

c)   Shop cleverly for food...Dollar stores are good for some things (food wise and some other items) and freeze what you can when you buy in bulk.  use bakery outlets too or get the bread and some reduced items on the isles and freeze it if it can be done. Shop-wisely for other things:

*   Thrift shops have got some as new things for not much money

*   Online, be it with Amazon or Barnes and Noble have got items..as new...for less..All that saves money and is kinda recycling goods too!

d)   Sign petitions...it is free...helps A LOT and it is good for your kids...point. Join care2.com for free, then go for it!

e)    Plant trees, and plants: it is not that expensive, very therapeutic for chilling out AND oxygen for all of us.

f)   Get a reusable bag(s0 for shopping...so easy to do...;

http://www.bringyourown.org/

if you forget try to recycle the plastic bags back at the supermarket it comes from...they usually do that.

All this, anybody, somehow CAN do it. I am a Mister mom, french, do my own website to help people, got no family here, neither any help be it government or else, and i do it. So, I know that we all can choose what we can do in this list and go for it...go on...America is SO worth it!

One more thing...look at this for what America inspire some people to do:

need I say more? if we do regularly what is in this list...we are on a good way...because...what goes around comes around...

PS: volunteering is cool too if you wish to do a bit extra!

sum is bigger than its parts

That really is what LIME is all about.  If we all make small changes they add up to much bigger ones. The sum is larger than its parts really applies here.

I just replaces one of my lamps with flourescent bulbs.  I felt really good about doing it.  The light it gives off is somewhat bright, but I'll deal knowing it is better for the planet.

And yes, we will survive.  It is human nature.
