For all those who have glass lying around, old mirrors, big (or small) broken pieces of window glass and aren't sure of how to dispose of it, contact your local college art department.  As a student at OSU when I took a glass class we welcomed donations of unwanted glass and frequently melted them down or made sculptures from them.

If you're looking to do a project yourself, glass cutters are inexpensive and from plain window glass and some cord a great windchime can be made.
