I though I was living a healthy life. I also thought that some the things that I now embrace was a bunch of stuff. I look back when I was young and thought that I would new be sick or have any health problems. I like to quote from Dr. Andrew Weil, MD “I think it a shame at times that young bodies can be so unforgiving.”
Now that I am in the part “B” of my life I wish I had made these changes twenty years ago. I have also discovered that change made slowly and one step at time makes it easier. For example diet and fitness. I want to become more vegetarian in my diet; I went to some vegetarian/vegan restaurants and tried different foods. Then I went home and tried to copy some those dishes. In fitness I started walking and swimming. Now I do a full work out every day before work.
One of the other things you have to change is the world around you. Like making your home and spaces a more greener and Earth friendly. I am very active in my Church and never thought I would be doing Yoga, but I have proved that it has helped me to improve my health. Take class, doing Yoga, and volunteering at projects at Church has over all improved my quality of life. My personal formula is as follows.
You seem to be a poster child for Lime. It sounds like you are doing everything right. Your formula is one to emmulate! Keep living a healthful life, but don't forget to add the twist-it makes life fun!!!
Healthy living garauntees a higher quality of life. If you eat right, you can play right, work hard, live hard. Healthy mothers and fathers can play with their children, or play with their children to become healthy! You look better, and feel better. And who can turn down the taste of fresh ripe fruits and veggies?
I agree with you. Living healthy means being able to do the things you want to and not be limited by your body or your mind. When you have a healthy body you have no excuses holding you back from attaining whatever you want. Kowing that I am taking care of myself and learning to treat my body with respect is what healthy means to me.
I always look for the balance in everything! That's not always easy. You're certainly on the right track. One area that I missed over the years was what was under my sink. Getting clean seems to be in everyones minds these days. Everywhere I turn I hear about using organic cleaning products. My husband even brings me clippings from the New York Times. I guess we need to take heed. How do the products clean your toilets?
Well, I took the plunger or plunger I should say to organic toilet bowl cleaner and it seems to work fine. Bought Mrs. Meyers and I like the smell. I already feel healthier and didn't seem to mind getting on my hands and knees as much.
Healthful living means being able to do what I want and not have limitations. I want my body to be able to perform when I need it to so I can enjoy life with my family.
