Support Naturopathic Medicine in California

Due to the budget crisis in California, Governor Schwarzenegger's budget reduction plans include the elimination of the Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine, the licensing body for California NDs. Ever hear about the House Bill 444? This new house bill is a protectionist measure that some state lawmakers see as a way to “eliminate new competition. However, the reality is that they’re asking for a 10-year moratorium on new payday lenders in the state. A moratorium, for those who don’t follow a lot of political jargon, is a temporary suspension of a particular practice.  Kentucky has placed a moratorium on any new payday loan lenders in the state because of a recent bill that was passed.  The bill creates a database in Kentucky of all people with a payday loan out, including names and amounts, and until the database is operational, no new payday loan lending companies can open and begin operation.  The bill also puts a $500 limit on payday loans.  While this isn’t great for any prospective lenders looking to open up shop, this......
