Hi,
I've been looking into getting a water filtration system for our house and wanted see what others may be using. Which type of system works best? Looking for one that cleans our water while leaving the beneficial part of the water and the vitality of the water in tact.
Thanks!
I just moved here from Colorado Springs and let me tell you the water here is WAY different!! In the Springs the tap water never tasted that bad, common the water came straight from Pikes Peak! Now I move here to the dessert, let me tell you the water is GROSS so having some sort of filtration system is a MUST. I have always used the Brita system, I like it. It is super easy to use and they a whole bunch of different systems you can use. Check out the web site. See if its for you!

I agree with monmac, it's crucial to have a filtration system in certain areas. Plus I think that having filters discourages most people to cut down on their bottled water consumption, which is something that should be seriously considered. I've heard that some bottled water like Dasani add salt to their water so it can taste better, anywho the thought of discarded water bottles and the carbon footprint from its transportation should be enough to discourage its' consumption, I think. Anyway, Brita is one of the most known and economical ones, my mum has been using Brita products for quite some time now in her home, and it seems to work just fine.
One of my friends has a seagull water filtration system installed though and I've noticed that her water has a different taste, it seems fresher and more natural. Then again seagull did win the award for design excellence winner three times so perhaps it's not just my tastebuds playing tricks on me.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've read about Seagull and it has received positive reviews. I've also read about Roxtract http://www.moonstoneproducts.com/rowasy.html which caught my attention along with the Vitalizer which seems to work in a similiar way http://www.aquatechnology.net/VITALIZER_PLUS.html.
Came across this site for energized water http://www.healthilluminationproducts.com/wellwatertreatmentsystem
Just seems like such an important part of good health - having pure water to drink. Yet I haven't found many discussions on the subject or any definitive research that shows which is the best way to purify the water you drink.
I use brita too, but I've been wanting to change to something better though. As for the "best way to purify water", I read an article in CNN about all these filtration systems and methods. Some think that if we concentrate on saving forests we can have pure water and help out the planet as well. It's better to conserve forests that naturally purify their drinking water.
Heh, just a thought.

We moved out here to the west edge of the high plains a few years ago. The water here is Very hard so it's not really that tasty. We've been using a PUR water filter basket with great satisfaction. When we get the whole house filter it'll be a Water Boss.
Observe the world as though you were a child and enjoy the wonder of it all.
We use the New Wave Premium water filter on our tap for drinking water. We got it at a Whole Foods market. It is a 10 stage filter and seems to make the water here in Arizona taste a whole lot better.
The number for the company is 800-592-8371
