Here's a link to a place in Oregon that's selling the LED bulbs. Yes they're expensive, but so were DVD players just a few years ago.

I'm thinking about trying some of these as I've found through trial and error that the CF bulbs do not last long if inverted in a downward facing socket due to ballast overheating.

Keep looking for more sources and post them when you find them.

Do you they sell lightbulbs that offer some mood lighting? That is what is holding me back. I don't want harsh lighting in my home. Also, can you use dimmer switches with them?

Ask and I'll find it...Here's a link to a company that seems to be going all out with LED bulbs. They've got everything from flashlight bulb replacements to spotlight bulb replacements!!! Oh yes, they also have mood lighting. Yay!
