New Goodies I Found!!!!
Posted by Cowboydavey on August 19, 2007 - 4:10pm.

I am always on the lookout for something new in the healthy/organic lines. I am a big fan of Paul Newman and have found two new things he has out.

1. Organic Coffee. Rich very rich!

2. Organic Dark Chocolate [" Was bad ate the whole bar!"]

I found some new things from Kashi.

1.TLC Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookies.

2.Roasted Garlic & Thyme Party Crackers

3.TLC Pumpkin Spice Flax granola bars.

Then I found a regular crackers Southfield’s Organic Crackers. Some of these thing might have been out for a while, and now just made it here. Anyone have any thing new that new in your market area?

Not necessarily healthy...

I've been grooving on fresh blueberries (very healthy! and local!) and 5 Boroughs (not so healthy) vanilla ice cream, which I guess has been around New York City for a few months, but I'm just getting to it now.

Percent cocoa?
by Statuesqueone on August 20, 2007 - 3:47pm
I understand to get the health beneifts of dark chocolate it should contain 70 percent cocoa solids. Any idea how much Paul Newman's has? I'm willing to give it a try even if it falls short of the 70%  ;-)

another one

He does and most of the profits go towards helping others in need.  Always outweighs buying another brand.  I just tried his Light Italian dressing and I just love it.  Makes the salad taste like a greek one.  It has lemon in it and I just add some feta and tomatoes, yum!!!

Thanks for the info.  I am always looking for great tasting healthy products.

Organic chocolate

I'm not sure of the cocoa content of the chocolate bars, I just know they are way yummy! Not sure if it's the organic aspects of the chocolate or that the % cocoa isn't that high, but it wasn't bitter at all, it was just really good! Try it you'll like it. And Vicki is right about the profits. Makes eating chocolate that much better!

70 %

The content should be 70% for health benefits.  Otherwise it is just really good tasting and not so good as an anti-oxidant.  There are so many available choices, with nuts, fruit, coffee etc.  No excuses for not being able to have our chocolate and eat it too.
