Natural beauty aids
Posted by Statuesqueone on August 23, 2007 - 5:07pm.
image When I was young my grandmother used to put things like eggs and beer in our hair. She always told us (my sister and I) that it would make our hair shiny, not sure if it did or not. I have read about natural exfoliants (papaya) and moisturizers (almond oil) but haven't tried any of them. Does anyone have any natural beauty aids they use to help improve looks?

I was always told that oatmeal was great for your face as well as avocados. Found this site that gives you tons of homemade recipes.  Give some a try.

Winter is coming up and already I'm starting to fight dry skin on arms, legs and even my lips are feeling the pain.  One of my favorite things to do for when my lips get overchapped and start to peel is to mix a small amount (1/2 tsp) of sugar with a couple of drops of honey.  I use it as a sugar scrub on my lips.  It gently peels off the dead skin.  It's non-abrasive and tastes good too;)

I also look for skin care products that contain little to no preservatives and include essential oils in their product ingredients to help combat dry skin in the winter.  There are many product lines out there to choose from that are good for you.  You can check out my profile for more information on the product line I have chosen.
