Well done. That is the mark of courage and the beginning of your true destiny!
I have done much. True, like a true action/romantic/adventure movie.
I only became far stronger/faster/wiser/more educated/happier than before for two reasons:
1) I DO NOT procrastinate
2) I want to be happier by showing an example of refusing stress when not needed and sharing what I know as well as improving myself proving that age is NOT an barrier for anything really. So, I just do it.
It's wonderful that you are taking charge of a part of your life that you can do something about and are interested in reducing stress. I tend not to procrastinate only because I prefer to get it over with so I don't have to deal with it later. I think I learned this from my Aunt when I was 13 or 14 years old. I wanted to wait until after lunch to finish up an unpleasant project but she told me that if we just get it done then we won't have to worry about doing it after lunch, we would have the afternoon free! That philosophy has stuck with me for 30 years and I'm so glad she was there to teach me that lesson. It's great that you are teaching yourself not to procrastinate, it will serve you well.
When you decide to set aside the excuses and procrastination, life becomes easier. There is the feeling of being organized, accomplishment and being at the top of your game. Everything is just easier, good job! From here there is only one way to go, forward and up! Kudos

Learning to say no without an excuse or explaination makes life easier.........well, for me but maybe not for those I'm telling no.
