Last Supper tradition.
Posted by enigma_v on May 14, 2007 - 5:51pm.

So my friends and I came up with this Last Supper ( no religious meaning behind it at all by the way) celebration. We basically gather twice a month, every two weekends, and eat as much as we can and just celebrate... life?

So far this has been going on for a couple of years now. We all exercise and are in good shape, some could say, but as much as I enjoy having a beer and eating all the buffalo wings I can eat twice a month... I'm ditching it this spring. Fun times. But it's time to move on!

a second thought

That sounds so sad.  Are you sure?  Maybe you should just change the menu and switch things up a bit.  I would love to have a tradition like that with friends.  Give it a second thought.

hesitant

I approached my friends suggesting to change the menu but I was practically alone on that thought. It's typically food thats extremely high on fats and for the most part we just pig out. There's even contests to see who eats more. I never participate on them though, just the thought of having to force feed myself makes me sick. Yes, I have pretty crazy friends. I wish there was a way to compromise but we'll see maybe there is a way after all. Thank you for taking interest in my article though!

Consider.

It does sound like a good tradition, instead I'd change it up like Vicki says and how about making it a Green Last Supper Tradition?

green supper club-great idea

Now that's a great idea.  In fact, I just might start a green dinner club.  Wouldn't that be interesting.  You would  have to make the dinner with all organic, natural food and serve it up eco-friendly style.  I really like that!!!!!

definitely.

I'm starting one too, I'm going to push it a little and make it vegeterian too. I think it'll be good for my friends since most of them eat a lot of meat, and it's always good to take a break from meaty foods. :)

good libations

Love the idea!!! It would be a gret way to try out new recipes as well as organic wine and beer.  Someone could be in charge of pairing the perfect libation with the perfect food.

I like the idea of the Green Last Supper tradition too!

I'll start a monthly celebration, sounds like a cool way of staying green and keeping in touch with the friends and family.

eating green with my family

You know, the more I think about it, you don't even need to have a dinner party.  You could earmark one night a month to eat entirely green with your family.  Another idea to consider!!!
