Big News = Bad News
Posted by SirTravers on February 1, 2008 - 10:14pm.

It sounds to me like this big news had turned out to be bad news. First Gaiam takes over, then they decide that pulling the plug on an international radio audience is good business?! What the heck? I thought Lime was about helping people to become all they can be? If you pull the plug on Lime Radio you are effectively cutting off both of your legs GAIAM! There are many people out there that listen every day while at work, home, on the road, in the gym, at the spa. We truckers that are Lime listeners are going to lose a great resource and respite from the normal onslaught of other talk radio on Sirius Radio.

Please reconsider this ill thought decision to abandon your audience. I as well as many others don't want to see Lime radio go away. This is too much like the razing of the rainforrests for commercial interests. Lime Radio is as precious a resource for those of us that listen every day as this website is for those that can be here every day.

Soon to be out of Balance thanks to GAIAM,

Justin T. Travis

Lime Radio on Sirius

I was shocked and so disappointed to hear that GAIAM is killing Lime radio. I listen all the time on my Sirius radio and online. Why was the decision made to disband Lime radio? It's so popular in the "healthy living" community. Please reconsider! PLEASE!

GAIAM's reply to my email
by SirTravers on February 6, 2008 - 10:53pm

Here's the response GAIAM sent to me in response to my email to them. It was very generic as you will see here:

We are sorry that you are saddened by the termination of Lime Radio on Sirius Satellite Radio. Indeed we are very grateful for your support and loyalty to the programming. Gaiam is currently creating audio content that may include some of your favorite radio hosts, so please watch for new opportunities to connect with them in the coming months at Gaia.com.

Thank you again,
Gaiam Customer Service

I don't know why they are lilling the station, but it's going to be a real hit against our community that listens while at work and on the go.

Observe the world as though you were a child and enjoy the wonder of it all.

If we still want to listen all the cool stuff, how are we to do that?

Side note: anyone from this community called Sirius about this?  IF so, what was the response?
