In the book “Buddha Is As Buddha Does. The Ten Original Practices for Enlightened Living”, it says that patience is considered to be the most difficult spiritual practice. When we practice patience, we don’t dance to the ever-changing heat of worldly circumstances. Instead, we think, speak and act in a measured way, as if to a steady internal heartbeat. Is patience hard to practice?

Observe the world as though you were a child and enjoy the wonder of it all.
Does that mean you practice patience or just tune out? Taking the time to really be patient and understanding is incredibly hard to do and I agree with Harley with regards to children.
Even when you are not in a hurry, practicing patience is different. It's taking the time to really "be". That includes eating, cleaning, doing things in your everyday life.
